A Recap of Hotelie Weekend

Published on December 6, 2024

CHS was much more ambitious this year than in the past, and we are quite proud of what our team of volunteer leaders achieved. During the four days, we organized eight separate activities that collectively hosted over 600 individuals. Attendees (beyond the Hall of Fame inductees or their families) traveled from near and far, including Germany, Turkey, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, Canada, Hawaii, Texas, Chicago, Ithaca, and beyond!

While the priority of ‘Hotelie Weekend’ was to engage our alumni community, it was really important and meaningful to have over 100 students participate throughout many of the events. We proudly hosted students representing the following classes and organizations: Masters of Management in Hospitality (MMH), Hotel Ezra Cornell (HEC 100), National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH), Hotel Leadership Development Program (HLDP), and leaders of our CHS Collegiate Chapter.

Be sure to watch the weekend recap video and the Hall of Fame videos linked below.

The 3rd edition of our annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony was such a beautiful event. The culmination of a year-round group effort perfectly encapsulates the enduring Hotelie spirit through storytelling. I found myself laughing out loud at times, occasionally brought to tears, and left inspired and grateful and so proud to be a part of our community! We recognize the nominating committee, contributors, volunteers, donors, introducers, inductees, and their families and friends for helping us celebrate what it means to be a Hotelie For Life. We especially thank Ted Teng for his vision, unending effort, and ongoing leadership in bringing all the many puzzle pieces together.
