Call for CHS Global Directors & Other Key Volunteer Roles

The Cornell Hotel Society (CHS) thrives on our humble ethos: Life Is Service. To continue this mission, we are seeking dedicated Hotelies to serve on our Global Board of Directors, lead global committees, or support local chapters.

While we welcome nominations for others, self-nominations are both traditional and encouraged. If you are ready to contribute to the future of our global community, we want to hear from you. Nominations are now open.  

Why Serve?

• Strategic Impact: Shape CHS’s future with governance, membership engagement, events, finance, and long-term global initiatives.
• Leadership Pipeline: Serving as a Global Director is the first step for those interested in becoming future Officers and the Global Presidential ladder (2nd VP, 1st VP, Global President, Immediate Past President).
• Global Networking: Work alongside executive leaders within the Nolan School alumni network.

Open Positions & Requirements

• Global Board Director (Up to 2 Openings): Open to all undergraduate or graduate alumni of the Cornell Nolan School of Hotel Administration. [Click here for Position Description].
• Global Committees & Chapter Roles: Open to all CHS members.

Key Deadlines

• Nominations Close: Friday, July 31, 2026, at 5:00 pm ET.
• Global Vote: Late September / Early October.
• Installation: November Annual General Meeting 
• Term begins: Jan 1, 2027
