Presenting 2026 Hotelie Hall of Fame Story - Brad Wilson ’84
An excerpt from Brad's story...
For more than three decades, Brad Wilson ’84 has stood at the crossroads where analytical rigor meets creative vision. A leader who transformed how the world experiences hotels, Wilson’s journey has been defined not by following industry playbooks, but by writing new ones—taking hospitality from traditional luxury into high-concept, culturally vibrant boutique spaces that feel, above all else, deeply human.
Brad’s immersion in hospitality began early, working in his family’s catering business in Chicago before helping launch a group of artisanal American bakeries. In high school Wilson, who was always creative and entrepreneurial, announced that he wanted to have his own restaurant and his mother suggested he go to Hotel School before venturing out on his own. She suggested Cornell, the best hotel school she knew, and when he arrived on Cornell’s campus, he found a community that matched his boundless energy curiosity and passions.
